I recently received a cold call from Resell CNC. Normally I do not take these but for some reason I decided to take this one. They called to tell me about a late model Okuma turning center he had for sale and it was the perfect fit for what we were looking for at the time. The negotiation was easy and Resell CNC cut to the chase pretty fast and gave me their best price which was very reasonable. I have never put one of my machines into an online consignment sale before and I was a little nervous as to how it might play out. Having said that, in the end it went exactly as Resell CNC told me it would. The machine sold at what I consider to be fair market value or slightly higher and it sold without a great deal of work on my part. We used Resell CNC to purchase a used Haas SL20 lathe during a period when used equipment was selling at a rapid rate. Although we were one of several companies that were interested in the machine, Resell CNC kept the other interested prospects at bay while we sorted out details about the equipment that was located in another state. They could have easily ignored our questions and have pursued the other leads, which is exactly what happened to us on a different system we were pursuing with a local dealer. Resell CNC will also make good on their promises. As part of our sale it was important for us to keep monetary reserve to ensure feasibility of the equipment once installed on our floor. The reserve was agreed to cover major repairs if anything was found wrong with the spindle or motors. We did find some minor issues with the equipment (ie. Spindle load shield was cracked) and Resell provided us with a refund to have the equipment repaired by our local HFO. The only complaint we had with the sale was the cleanliness of the equipment as it arrived at our facility. I can only attribute this issue to the fact the machine was located outside both ours and Resells state. However, the fact is that our new equipment has been running full speed ahead within 1 week upon arrival and it has already made our company stronger than we had projected. I am a firm believer of building relationships and standardization. As a result, I will continue to pursue used equipment from Resell CNC.

Let me say that I am very surprised at the conditions of the machine, and also, of how well everything is documented on the manuals. I honestly did not expect the machine in such great condition, nor the manuals in such shape, I thought that there might be some "guess work" when the machine arrived at the shop, but none so far. We were in a bit of a money crunch like so many small businesses in this tough economy, so we began exploring the possibility of selling our only fully paid off Haas CNC Mill. The prospect of selling this machine was emotional on many different levels. It was our first machine purchased that we used to get our company up and off the ground, and, as previously, stated it was finally fully paid off! We began entertaining the idea of selling it so when Resell CNC called and inquired about any machines we might have and would consider selling we let them make an offer. We expected to get low-balled, and figured we would have to advertise via Craigslist or E-Bay and deal with a bunch of tire kickers and try and get them financed to get what we wanted out of the sale. Not the case! Resell made us a deal too good to pass up! We considered their first very strong offer and requested another $2,500 based on all of the service work we had just completed, they didn't even balk! I recently purchased a used Mazak SQT18M from Resell CNC. I had never purchased a used machine before and was somewhat reticent about buying a machine without a warranty, without a company representative to install it, without a salesperson to whom to go should a problem arise. In short, I was swimming out of my depth, and I knew it. Furthermore, I communicated my naivete to Resell CNC upon the occasion of our first phone conversation. I told them that I wanted a machine with no problems, in good working order--a turnkey machine, if you will. I found Resell CNC to be as good as their word. They walked me through the whole process, helping at every turn, and even found an ex-Mazak serviceman, who inspected the machine for me. They offered to locate financing companies for me when the one I had found started to become problematic. Throughout the process of finalizing the purchase of the machine, Resell CNC was patient and very professional.
