A servo-driven ball-screw gripper indexes material 1500 millimetres per stroke, repeats until stock is gone and holds length error to ±0.004 inch thanks to an incremental encoder. Mitre angles swing ±30 degrees under Beckhoff PC control, eliminating manual head twists and keeping cycle time near 12 seconds, so thin-wall tubing hits a 300-parts-per-hour rhythm. The hydraulic up-stroke saw head is powered by a 2-speed 4.8 hp motor that turns the blade at 30, 60, 120 or 240 surface-feet-per-minute, matching chip load to aluminium or four-four-six stainless with a lever flick. Flood coolant from an 80-litre tank and mist lube keep tips sharp, while the 14-pocket in-feed chain stores 24-foot bar and the 15-foot conveyor sorts drops, letting one operator mind multiple cells.

Compared with Eisele’s PSU-450-NC-1—manual swing, 900-millimetre feed and 2-step blade speed—the CNC-2 doubles feed length to 59 inch, adds servo mitre and quadruple speed steps, yet both share identical worm-gear heads and shock-absorbing gearboxes, so spare parts and blades remain common.
