The Bodor i7 is a fully enclosed compact fiber laser cutting system built around a 60 x 120 inch work envelope, sized to swallow a standard 5 x 10 sheet without giving up shop floor to an open-frame layout. Cutting is driven by an IPG YLR-2000-MM-WC ytterbium fiber source rated at 2,000 watts, fed through a Bodor Genius autofocus cutting head and commanded from a Bodor Thinker and Pro 2.0 control with a 21.5 inch HD touchscreen, Bodor Nesting software, and WiFi remote monitoring. High-performance bus servo motors carry the head to a maximum linkage speed of 91 m/min with 1.5 G acceleration, holding positioning accuracy of +/- 0.05 mm/m and repositioning accuracy of +/- 0.03 mm. Structure is a third-generation mortise-and-tenon welded bed frame paired with an aerospace aluminum cross beam, and the sealed cabin adds centralized dust collection, electric lift doors, and a pull-out table for loading and unloading. Machine power is rated at 16 kW on 220V three-phase 60 Hz service at 65.7 amps, and the package includes a Teyu S&A CWFL-2000BN industrial chiller and a Lapuele three-phase dry-type transformer. Set against Bodor's earlier open-frame F3015, the i7 is the same cutting philosophy in a very different package. The F3015 runs a cast iron bed and shares the Bodor Pro 2.0 operation system and autofocus head, but it leaves the cutting zone open to the shop; the i7 wraps the entire work area in a sealed cabin with centralized dust collection and electric lift doors, which pulls fume and spatter out at the source and puts a physical barrier between the beam and the operator. The i7 also moves away from cast iron to a third-generation mortise-and-tenon welded frame with an aerospace aluminum beam, a lighter and stiffer combination that is what lets it hold 1.5 G acceleration where a heavier open-frame gantry cannot. Add the pull-out table and the compact footprint, and the i7 fits a 5 x 10 capability into a bay where an open-frame machine of the same envelope would need a dedicated cell. This is the machine that takes sheet metal work in-house - no more waiting on an outside cutter, no more marking up someone else's lead time, just parts in your own building on your own schedule.
