The LK G90C is a bridge-type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from LK, a metrology builder whose rigid, thermally stable bridge designs have made it a familiar name in aerospace, automotive, and precision job shop quality labs. This unit is a 3-axis direct computer controlled (DCC) moving-bridge CMM mounted on a precision granite table, which provides a flat, stable reference base for inspecting machined castings, forgings, housings, brackets, and complex prismatic parts. The open bridge layout gives operators clear access to the measuring volume from the front and sides, making part loading and fixturing straightforward, and the granite base supports repeatable setups from one part to the next. Motion is commanded through a Hexagon touchscreen jogbox, giving the operator handheld control of axis jogging, speed override, and program functions right at the part, while the standalone control cabinet with emergency stop keeps the drive electronics enclosed and separated from the measuring area. The LK G90C is designed for first-article inspection, in-process verification, and final part acceptance where dimensional data has to be documented and traceable.
Compared with manual, hand-pushed bridge CMMs, the LK G90C is built to take measuring time out of the operator's hands. DCC motion lets programs run the same measurement sequence part after part, so results depend on the program rather than the technique of whoever is on shift, and batch inspection of repeat jobs becomes a scheduled task instead of a skilled-labor bottleneck. The moving-bridge-on-granite architecture keeps the machine's mass low relative to its measuring volume, which supports smooth, controlled motion, and the touchscreen jogbox speeds up part alignment and program teaching compared with older push-button pendants. For a shop moving from surface plates and height gauges, or from a manual CMM, the G90C is a meaningful step up in throughput, consistency, and documented inspection capability.
