2016 Makino MCC2013VG 6-Axis CNC Horizontal Machining Center

The 2016 Makino MCC2013VG is a six-axis horizontal machining centre engineered for unmatched precision on large parts and multi-face features. It boasts travels of 78.7 inches (X), 51.2 inches (Y), and 51.2 inches (Z) with a 59 by 47.2 inch pallet capable of lifting up to 22,000 pounds. The 12,000 RPM HSK-A100 spindle, driven by a 40-horsepower motor (with optional two-range gearbox), delivers high torque (up to 410 ft-lb) at low RPM and fast acceleration for aluminum or hardened part cutting. Full 4th-axis B indexing, A ±30° tilt and C ±185° head rotation—all adjustable to 0.001° increments—support compound angled machining and reduce repositioning needs.

Standard with Pro?5 (Fanuc 30i series) control, the MCC2013VG includes a 120-position matrix tool changer, 1,000-PSI through-spindle coolant, Renishaw probing package, automated non-contact Blum tool setter, flood and mist coolant systems, and chip conveyors. With at least 600 macro common variables, rigid tapping, and full data communication capability, it excels in die/mold, aerospace and high-precision production environments. Compared to its MCC2013 predecessor, the VG model doubles tool capacity, upgrades to HSK-A100 taper, and unlocks full rotary axis freedom for deeper five-axis operations.
