The 2019 Mazak HCN-6800 is a 630mm dual-pallet horizontal machining center engineered for shops running high-volume, high-complexity work that can't afford spindle downtime. The 50 HP, 10,000 RPM CAT#50 spindle is backed by a Mazak Super Flow V8A system delivering 1,000 PSI thru-spindle coolant — the thermal management needed to push aggressive deep-cavity and long-reach toolpaths without pulling back on feed or tool life. The 80-tool side-mount ATC and dual-pallet configuration with full continuous 4th-axis indexing let the machine load on one side while cutting on the other, maximizing utilization across shifts. The Renishaw OMP 60 probe, Mayfran chip conveyor with variable-speed digital inverter, workpiece air blast, mist collector, MT Connect adaptor, and Smooth Data Converter make this unit as ready for a connected Industry 4.0 floor as it is for a traditional high-production cell.

Where earlier HCN-6800 builds running the Mazatrol Matrix or Fusion control platforms were capable machines limited by processing speed and program memory, this 2019 SmoothG-equipped unit represents a meaningful generational step forward. The SmoothG control brings significantly faster block processing, enhanced surface interpolation for complex contoured programs, and an 8MB program capacity — eliminating the memory ceiling that forced older HCN-6800 operators to drip-feed large part programs.
