2012 Mazak HCN 6800-II CNC Horizontal Mill w/ 8-Pallet System

The 2012 Mazak HCN 6800-II with 8-Pallet System is a full-production horizontal machining center built for continuous, automated manufacturing. With 41.3" x 35.4" x 38.5" axis travels, a 50 HP / 8,000 RPM CAT 50 spindle, and a 120-tool chain magazine, the machine handles complex, long-run parts without interruption. It comes equipped with the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus control, a 360,000-position NC rotary table, Renishaw OMP60M probing, Mazak Super Flow T8 high-pressure coolant at 1,000 PSI/8 GPM, a CONSEP 2000 dual belt chip conveyor, and the Palletech PCN 6800 eight-pallet cell with two operator load stations and a scheduling system — a complete lights-out infrastructure, not just a machine.

Compared to the original Mazak HCN 6800, the HCN 6800-II generation introduced the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus control in place of the earlier Mazatrol Matrix, adding Dynamic Compensation 2 for real-time thermal error correction and auto-peck with load detection for improved deep-hole accuracy. The eight-pallet Palletech integration further sets this configuration apart from a standard single-pallet horizontal: the PCN 6800 cell handles fully automated pallet scheduling, allowing one operator to manage production across multiple setups simultaneously — a capability that costs significantly more capital to replicate with new equipment.
