The 2016 Makino A61NX's are 500 mm, 40-taper production horizontal machining center's with a reputation for rigidity, thermal stability, and dependable high-precision output that has made it a staple in aerospace, medical, and high-volume aluminum machining environments. This 2016 cell pairs three A61NX machines with a 40-pallet linear pallet pool (LPP) for fully automated, lights-out production, plus an included Makino H.Plus 405. Each machine offers 28.7 x 28.7 x 31.5 inch (730 x 730 x 800 mm) travels, a 14,000-RPM HSK-A63 spindle producing 303 Nm of torque, a 313-tool magazine, and the intuitive Makino Professional 6 control. Workpieces up to 31.5 inch diameter by 39.4 inch tall (800 x 1000 mm) and 1,100 lb (500 kg) per pallet are supported, with full simultaneous 4-axis contouring built for sustained aluminum production.
