The Okuma & Howa Millac-550H is a 50-taper CNC horizontal machining center with a reputation for rigidity and dependable production that has made it a staple in high-mix, high-volume machining environments. This 2006 machine delivers X/Y/Z travels of 31.5 x 31.5 x 27.56 inches over a 550 mm (21.65 x 21.65 inch) pallet, with an automatic two-pallet changer that keeps spindle-up time high by staging the next setup while the current job runs. Power comes from a 40 HP, 10,000 RPM 50-taper spindle paired with a full 4th-axis (B-axis, 360 degree) rotary table for multi-face machining, a 60-tool automatic tool changer, and rapid traverse and cutting feed of 1,575 IPM.
