The Matsuura H.Plus-300 is a compact 300 mm pallet CNC horizontal machining center from a builder whose reputation for precision and reliable automation has made its machines a staple in high-mix, lights-out production shops. This 2006 H.Plus-300 is equipped with Matsuura's PC11 floor-type pallet system, giving it 11 pallets of 300 x 300 mm (11.81 x 11.81 inches), each rated for 551 lb, with a 6.6-second pallet change and two tombstones included. Travels are X 19.68 / Y 22.04 / Z 19.68 inches with a direct-drive, full continuous 360-degree B-axis rotary table, and the work envelope accepts parts up to 19.68 inches in diameter by 29.92 inches tall. The 15,000 RPM BT40 spindle is driven by a 20 hp motor producing 120 N-m (88 ft-lb) of torque at 1,200 RPM. Rapid traverse is 2,362 IPM on X, Y and Z, and a 150-tool magazine handles tools up to 11.8 inches long and 17.6 lb with a 2.4-second chip-to-chip time. Control is the Matsuura G-Tech 30i, built on the FANUC 30i platform. The machine requires a 42 kVA, 200/220V power supply and weighs approximately 18,300 lb before the pallet system. Tool holders are not included.
Compared with the first-generation Matsuura H.Plus-300, which paired a FANUC 16i-M control with a 12,000 RPM spindle and a much smaller standard tool magazine, this G-Tech 30i generation is a clear step up. The 15,000 RPM spindle gives more surface speed for small cutters, aluminum and finishing work, while 2,362 IPM rapids trim non-cutting time on every cycle. Matsuura also reduced the machine's floor space by roughly 15 percent over the previous model, so a buyer gets more pallets and more tools in a tighter footprint. With the G-Tech 30i control, the 11-pallet PC11 system and a 150-tool magazine, this is a meaningfully more capable production cell, not just a newer machine, and it is built to keep spindles cutting through second and third shifts with minimal attention.
