The Doosan NHP 4000 is a compact 400 mm pallet horizontal machining center with a reputation for steady, dependable output that has made it a staple in job shops and production cells running aerospace, automotive, hydraulic and general precision work. This 2018 model is a 4-axis CNC HMC with a full contouring B-axis rotary table for true 4th-axis machining, not just indexing, so complex multi-face parts can be finished in fewer setups. The work envelope offers X 22.0 / Y 25.2 / Z 26.0 inch travels, and each 15.75 inch (400 mm) pallet is rated for loads up to 882 lbs. A 2-pallet automatic pallet changer lets operators load the next fixture or tombstone while the current part is cutting, a design built to minimize spindle idle time. The NHP platform was also designed around 1G axis acceleration and high-speed rapids, cutting cycle time on the short moves that dominate HMC work, and it moved to grease lubrication on all axes to reduce oil consumption and coolant contamination. A high-speed disc-type tool magazine and an optimized tool change sequence further shorten chip-to-chip time compared with the HP 4000 II.
