2020 Haas CL-1 CNC Lathe

The 2020 Haas?CL-1 is an ultra-compact CNC chucker lathe engineered for high-precision small-part production in the aerospace, medical, electronics, and dental sectors. It offers twelve inch X-axis travel and eight inch Z-axis travel, with a swing over cross slide of eleven inches and swing over table of four point ninety-five inches. The standard five C-collet spindle accepts up to a one-inch bar, powered by a five-horsepower motor at a maximum speed of six-thousand RPM. This configuration delivers fast, accurate machining in a machine small enough to move via pallet jack or fit through most freight elevators.

Equipped with an eight-station gang-style turret indexed by C-axis and featuring rigid tapping, the CL-1 supports optional dual ER-11 live-tool spindles that operate up to six-thousand RPM for contour milling. Haas’s user-friendly Next Generation Control (NGC) includes Visual Programming System (VPS), spindle orientation, M-code control of a part catcher, cooling system, and USB/Ethernet interface. The compact yet rugged construction allows single- or three-phase power, optional pneumatic bar-feeder (handles four to forty-inch bars), and unattended machining capability.
