2018 Tsugami S205 CNC Swiss Lathe

The 2018 Tsugami S205-II is an ultra-rigid 20?mm Swiss-type turning centre featuring Fanuc 32i-MB CNC and full C-axis control on both main and sub spindles, each running up to 10,000?RPM. It quickly converts between guide-bushing mode and chucker operation, allowing use of drawn bar or centerless stock. Equipped with modular tooling zones supporting up to 16 live tools (standard 5 live tools running at 8,000?RPM; optional up to 4 at 10,000?RPM), it enables simultaneous main and sub-spindle machining and includes an optional front-face mill attachment with two live tools per spindle.

Compared to non-Swiss turning centres, the S205-II offers finer bar stock capability, faster cycles, live tooling, and full simultaneous C-axis machining. Its convertible chucker option dramatically increases flexibility over fixed guide-bushing machines, delivering both setup versatility and lower remnant waste.
