The 1997 Mazak SQT-15M Mark II is a rugged CNC lathe designed for both turning and milling with its integrated live tooling system. With 11.81 inch maximum turning diameter and a turning length of 20.79 inches, this machine delivers consistent performance across a variety of complex parts. It offers a generous swing over bed at 20.87 inches and travels of 7.09 inches in X and 22.76 inches in Z, all powered by a 15 kilowatt main motor driving a 5000 RPM spindle.

Compared to simpler turning-only machines of similar vintage, such as the SQT-15, the Mark II edition adds live tooling capability, a tool presetter, and multitool functionality, enhancing its ability to complete part operations in a single setup.
