The 2014 Citizen Miyano BNA-42MSY2 CNC Lathe is a high-precision, dual-spindle turning centre with full Y-axis capability and 8-station turret live tooling. Engineered for bar-fed automation, it offers a 42 mm maximum bar diameter on the main spindle with speeds up to 6000 RPM, complemented by a 34 mm sub-spindle operating at 5000 RPM. The single-turret system features all 8 motorised positions, with driven tools reaching 6000 RPM for integrated milling operations. Tooling support includes 20 mm square turning tools and 25 mm drill shanks, all coordinated through Citizen’s responsive CNC architecture and enhanced by a 145 PSI high-pressure coolant system.

Compared to conventional gang-style Swiss-type lathes, this hybrid platform provides more rigidity, higher turret torque, and better overlapping cycle time reduction.
