2017 Tsugami BO38T CNC Swiss Lathe

Purpose-built for precision and performance, the 2017 Tsugami BO38T Swiss-type CNC Lathe is a 12-axis multitasking platform that enables simultaneous machining on main and sub spindles with full live tooling. It boasts a generous bar capacity of 1.496”, with a maximum machining length of 9.84” per cycle, making it ideal for small- to mid-sized complex components. Powered by a Fanuc 31i-B CNC control, the BO38T features a main spindle with 5,000 RPM and a sub spindle capable of 7,000 RPM, both driven by robust 10/14.75 HP and 5/7.4 HP motors, respectively. The turret's rotary tooling spins up to 8,000 RPM, allowing high-speed live milling, cross drilling, and tapping operations.

This unit is extensively equipped with an Edge FMB Turbo 338 barfeed, long pusher kit, and Edge Rebel 80 unloader, enabling full automatic part loading and unloading for lights-out operation. A 2000 PSI high-pressure coolant system with an S2 chiller ensures chip control and thermal stability when cutting demanding alloys. Additional systems include a microfine chip conveyor, Mist Buster with HEPA filter, and Fire Trace suppression system, elevating safety and shop cleanliness. Also included are premium Tsugami face and cross drilling units (single and double) for added toolpath versatility and modular part complexity.
