2015 Nakamura-Tome NTRX-300 CNC Lathe

The 2015 Nakamura-Tome NTRX-300 is a twin-spindle, B-axis multitasking centre that swallows 3.15-inch bar, drives a 12 000 RPM Capto-C6 milling spindle with 25 horsepower and indexes a forty-tool ATC to cut prismatic and turned features without breaking a sweat. Each ten-inch Kitagawa chuck grips ninety-degree apart, the right spindle sliding 53.1 inch to meet the left and handing off parts under full C-axis control to 0.001 degree. Y-stroke of 10 inch, X of 27.6 inch and Z of 43.3 inch (long-bed option) combine with a 225-degree B-axis to reach any face; high-pressure 300 PSI coolant, Firetrace suppression and a Tri-Mist 850 vacuum keep heat and fumes at bay. Fanuc 31i-B5 control, SmartX GUI and NT-Collision Guard protect the iron, while detachable tool-setter, parts catcher and slug unloader shorten changeovers.

Compared with the earlier Nakamura-Tome WT-150—3-horsepower live tools, eight-inch chucks, 1.57-inch bar and manual turret probe—the NTRX-300’s 25-horsepower 12 000 RPM spindle, 3.15-inch bar, forty-tool ATC and full B-axis crown it the lights-out, five-face evolution of twin-turret turning. Both share twin spindles and 0.001-degree C-axis, yet only the NTRX-300 delivers five-axis contouring and probing-driven adaptive machining, making it the premium choice when complexity meets unattended ambition.
