The 2005 Nakamura-Tome WT-300 is a high-rigidity twin-turret multitasking lathe that swings 12.2-inch stock over the bed and cuts 10.6-inch diameters up to 30.7-inch between opposing spindles, each oriented by full 0.001-degree C-axis for contour milling and precise back-working. Box-way slides on every linear axis deliver vibration-free cuts, while the upper turret’s 2.36-inch Y-stroke lets driven tools (5 HP, 5000 RPM) mill keyways and cross-drill bolt circles without refixturing. Both main and sub spindles feature 3.1-inch bores, 2.67-inch bar capacity and 50-to-4500 RPM range, powered by 25-horsepower and 7.5-horsepower vector drives for balanced or synchronous turning. Rapids hit 945 IPM on X and 1181 IPM on Z and W, so twin 24-station platforms index while chips still fly.
