2011 Mori Seiki NLX 2500Y/700 CNC Lathe

The 2011 Mori Seiki NLX 2500Y-700 is a Y-axis Swiss-rigid lathe that swings 23.58-inch over bed, handles 18.1-inch-diameter work and stretches 27.76-inch turning length between ten-inch Kitagawa jaws while ripping bar to 4000 RPM through a twenty-five-horsepower A2-8 spindle. Its BMT-built twelve-station turret drives tools to 6000 RPM for cross-drilling, face-milling and thread whirling, keeping every operation in house and in line. Rapid traverses of 1181 IPM in Z and 945 IPM in X move the ten-point-two-inch slide with servo-silk precision, while plus-minus 1.9-inch Y-axis shifts put off-centre features dead on size. High-pressure coolant, Firetrace suppression and Tri-Mist collection keep cut zones cool, clean and safe for lights-out shifts, aided by an LNS conveyor that clears chips before they clog accuracy.

Compared with the NLX 2500 version lacking Y-axis, this Y-700 variant adds live-tool milling, ±1.9-inch interpolation and a longer thirty-one-point-three-inch Z stroke, enabling complete prismatic parts without secondary ops, yet it retains the same ten-inch chuck, twenty-five-horsepower spindle and MAPPS interface so operators face no learning curve when trading up.
