2007 Citizen M-32V CNC Turning Center

The Citizen M-32 V is a high-precision Swiss-type automatic sliding-head lathe featuring dual spindles and live tooling. It supports a 32mm bar, 320mm cut length per chucking, and runs at up to 8000 rpm on both main and sub spindles. The machine offers full-C/-axis indexing to 0.001°, a 20-station turret with 10 driven tools, plus 5 gang and 4 rotary tool positions. With rapid traverse speeds of 25m/min, heavy 5.5kW main and 2.2kW sub spindle motors, and full a 9-axis Cincom or Mitsubishi control, setup is both flexible and fast. Bar feeder, high-pressure coolant, chiller, part catcher, and conveyors complete the package.

More affordable Swiss-type machines like the Citizen M-20 deliver similar precision on smaller parts, handling 20mm bar and fewer axes. While the M-20 excels at micro-production, the M-32 V doubles capacity and adds live and back-spindle capabilities—ideal for larger, more complex components requiring simultaneous multi-axis operations.
