2022 Haas TL-2 CNC Lathe

The 2022 Haas TL-2 is a compact toolroom CNC lathe tailored for precision turning and light production work. With a 10 horsepower belt-drive spindle reaching 1800 rpm, it supports up to an 8 inch chuck and 1.8 inch bar capacity. The machine travels 8 inch in X and 48 inch in Z, delivering 450 IPM rapids on both axes, mounted on a robust cast iron bed with a 20 inch swing and 48 inch between-centers capacity. It is equipped with Haas NextGen control, optional 8-station turret, manual tailstock, coolant system, and intuitive programming features—ideal for both shops and educational settings.

Compared to the TL-1 model, the TL-2 expands the machining envelope with larger Z-axis travel and optional turret configurations. This extended reach and tooling flexibility allow operators to take on longer parts and multiple tools without frequent setups, improving productivity in prototyping and small-batch environments.
