2010 Mazak QTN 100-IIM CNC Turning Center

The 2010 Mazak QTN-100-IIM CNC Turning Center is a compact yet capable lathe designed for precision parts, offering a 21.6-inch swing over bed, 11-inch maximum turning diameter, and 15.2-inch cutting length. It features a 2.4-inch spindle bore with bar capacity up to 2-inch, driven by a 15-horsepower motor reaching 6000 RPM through an A2-5 spindle nose. Axis motion is supported by 7.3-inch X travel and 15.2-inch Z travel, with rapid traverse rates of 1181 IPM in X and 1299 IPM in Z. The 12-station drum turret supports live tooling on the IIM variant, while a Mazatrol Matrix Nexus control ensures simplified programming and high productivity.

Compared with the earlier QTN-100 base models, the QTN-100-IIM introduces integrated milling (M) and C-axis control, allowing both turning and light milling operations in one setup. This advancement reduces secondary operations, enhances part accuracy, and positions the IIM as a versatile alternative to single-function lathes—ideal for shops transitioning from basic turning to true multitasking capability.
