2001 Mazak Powermaster 160" CNC Lathe

The 2001 Mazak Powermaster 160-inch CNC Turning Center is a heavy-duty universal lathe designed for large diameter and long shaft machining, featuring approximately 34-inch swing over bed, 21.65-inch swing over cross slide, and about 160-inch distance between spindle centers. It’s built with Mazatrol 640T Nexus control, supports a large work capacity, includes a chucking setup, chip conveyor, parts conveyor, and is ruggedly constructed to handle high spindle torques with a robust 60 HP power class in similar units.

Compared with smaller Mazak lathes such as the QT or QTN series, the Powermaster 160 scales up both dimensions and power, enabling much larger workpieces and heavy cuts. Its longer center distance, larger swing, and more powerful spindle make it better suited for oil & gas, heavy industrial, and large component work than the smaller, more compact Mazaks usually employed for light duty or shorter parts.
