The 2006 Mazak QTN-450M CNC Lathe provides a 31.7-inch swing over bed, 22-inch swing over carriage, and 28-inch maximum cutting diameter with 81-inches between centers. Equipped with a 16-inch hydraulic chuck, 4-inch spindle bore, and 50-horsepower motor delivering 750 RPM, it balances heavy-duty capacity with milling flexibility. Its X-axis travel of 22.6-inches and Z-axis travel of 80-inches are supported by rapid traverses of 472 IPM and 551 IPM respectively, while a 7.8-inch hydraulic steady rest and tailstock maintain rigidity for long-part turning. Mazatrol Matrix Nexus control with EIA/ISO options, synchronous mill tapping, tilted working plane, scaling, and helical cycles add advanced programming power.

Compared with non-milling Quick Turn Nexus models, the QTN-450M integrates milling capability, allowing cross-drilling, tapping, and simple contouring in the same setup.
