The 2008 Doosan Puma 500 CNC Lathe is a heavy-duty 2-axis turning center equipped with a 24-inch hydraulic chuck and a 6.5-inch bar capacity. It offers a maximum turning diameter of 27.5-inches, a swing over bed of 35.4-inches, and a maximum machining length of 62-inches, making it well-suited for large-diameter, long-shaft work. The main spindle develops 60 horsepower at speeds up to 1500 RPM, ensuring torque-rich cutting for demanding materials. Controlled by a Fanuc 21iT CNC, the machine also includes a tailstock for additional support on extended workpieces.

Compared with mid-size Puma 400 models, the Puma 500 provides substantially larger swing, chucking, and horsepower capacity.
