2005 Haas SL-40T CNC Turning Center

The 2005 Haas SL-40T CNC Turning Center is a high torque heavy duty two axis lathe built for large diameter and long shaft machining. Equipped with a 55 horsepower heavy duty gearbox, 15 inch chuck, A2-8 spindle nose, approximately 4 inch bar capacity, 10 station servo turret, hydraulic tailstock, steady rest, tool presetter, and chip conveyor, this machine delivers substantial cutting force and dependable rigidity. With a maximum turning diameter of 25.5 inch and turning length of 44 inch, it is well suited for oil field, aerospace, and heavy fabrication applications.

Compared to lighter turning centers limited by smaller spindles and belt driven systems, the SL-40T provides gearbox torque multiplication and significantly greater structural mass.
