2008 Okuma LB3000 EX-MYC/450 CNC Lathe

The 2008 Okuma LB3000 EX-MYC/450 is a full-featured multi-axis CNC turning center with Y-axis (±4.72"), C-axis (360° / 0.001° indexing), and integrated live tooling — enabling complex milling, drilling, and off-center operations in a single setup. The 30 HP spindle runs 45–5,000 RPM through a JIS A2-6 nose with a 12" 3-jaw chuck and 3.19" bore, while the 12-station turret delivers live tool speeds up to 6,000 RPM. An MP RF8 high-pressure coolant unit and Okuma OSP-P200L control complete a machine built to handle precision turned-and-milled parts without secondary operations.

Compared to the standard Okuma LB3000 EX, the MYC variant adds Y-axis travel and integrated live tooling that transforms this from a two-axis turning center into a true mill-turn platform. The base LB3000 EX handles straightforward turning efficiently, but work requiring off-centerline milling, cross-drilling, or complex contoured features required a second setup on a separate machining center.
