2011 Haas ST-30 CNC Turning Center

This 2011 Haas ST-30 is a rugged, high-capacity CNC turning center built to tackle everything from production bar work to heavy chucker parts in a single dependable platform. It comes equipped with a 10-inch Samchully hydraulic chuck, a 3-inch bar capacity, a 3,400 RPM 30 HP spindle with an A2-8 spindle nose, a 12-station bolt-on and wedge-style turret, a #4 Morse taper tailstock, 32.5" between centers, and 21" swing over bed — giving it serious versatility for shops running medium-to-large diameter parts. Chip conveyor, 55-gallon coolant tank, and a tool-setter probe round out the package, and the unit comes with bolt-on holders and wedges for stick tools so a buyer can hit the ground running.

Compared to the earlier Haas SL-30 that the ST-30 replaced in Haas's lineup, the ST-30 brings a meaningful step up in rigidity, spindle performance, and overall build. The ST-30's more robust cast-iron base, heavier turret, and updated 30 HP spindle motor provide noticeably better torque curves and surface finish than the SL-30's lighter-duty architecture, and the modern Haas control on the ST-series includes faster processing, improved Intuitive Programming System (IPS) templates, and smoother G-code handling than the older SL-generation controls. The 3-inch bar capacity and A2-8 spindle also open up a wider range of production-bar work than the SL-30 could comfortably handle, making this ST-30 a logical upgrade path for any shop still running an older Haas SL-series turning center.
