2021 Doosan Lynx-2100LSYB CNC Turning Center

The 2021 Doosan Lynx-2100LSYB is a full-capability CNC turning center built for multi-tasking production. Equipped with a 20 HP main spindle running at 4,500 RPM and a 7.5 HP sub-spindle at 6,000 RPM, this machine handles complete part processing in a single setup. The BMT-45 live tooling turret provides 12 tool stations with 6,000 RPM milling capability, and combined with both C-axis and Y-axis, the Lynx-2100LSYB delivers true multi-axis machining for complex geometries. A FANUC 0i-Plus CNC with 15-inch iHMi touchscreen gives operators a modern, intuitive interface for programming and monitoring. With a max turning diameter of 11.8 inches, 22 inches of Z-axis travel, and a 2.68-inch spindle bore, this machine is sized for a wide range of turned parts.

The Lynx-2100LSYB represents a significant step up from the earlier Lynx-2100LY by adding the sub-spindle (the "S" designation) and upgrading to the BMT-45 turret interface over the previous VDI tooling standard. The BMT mounting system offers superior rigidity and faster tool changes compared to VDI, translating directly to better surface finishes and reduced cycle times during live tooling operations. The addition of the sub-spindle enables full back-working capability, eliminating the need for secondary operations and dramatically improving throughput on complex parts that require machining on both ends.
