2024 DN Solutions Puma 3100 SY CNC Turning Center

The 2024 DN Solutions Puma 3100 SY is a production multi-axis CNC turning center built around a 10-inch chuck main spindle (3,500 RPM, 30 HP, 3-inch bar capacity) paired with an 8-inch chuck sub-spindle (5,000 RPM, 15 HP, 2.6-inch bar) for full front-and-backside part processing without a second setup. A 12-station servo-indexed BMT turret with live tooling (up to 6,000 RPM, 10 HP) combines with a Y-axis, full C-axis, and 1,181 ipm rapids to handle turning, milling, drilling, and off-center work on a single machine with 11 inches of X-travel and 20.5 inches of Z-travel on a rigid slant-bed platform.

Compared to the older Doosan Puma 300LMB — a single-spindle lathe with limited live-tool capability and no sub-spindle or Y-axis — this Puma 3100 SY moves the entire job to one setup. Under the DN Solutions banner (the former Doosan Machine Tools), the 3100 SY upgrades to high-response linear roller guides, adds the sub-spindle and Y-axis for true done-in-one machining, integrates the latest Fanuc i-series control with the Doosan operator interface, and expands live-tooling performance — cutting fixture count, load/unload time, and scrap on complex shaft and chucker parts.
