The 2012 Hwacheon Hi-Tech 400 is a heavy-duty 2-axis CNC turning center engineered for shops that demand rigidity, repeatability, and uptime in production environments. Powered by a 30 HP main spindle running up to 2,500 RPM, this machine pairs a 12-station turret with a 12" ATS quick-change chuck and 4" bar capacity, making it equally at home in chuck work, bar work, and shaft turning. The Hi-Tech 400 swings 23.6" over the bed, accepts up to 16.5" turning diameter, and delivers 45.2" of max turning length with 32.3" of Z-axis travel. The 30 HP main spindle delivers significantly more torque than the Hi-Tech 200's 20 HP unit, enabling heavier roughing passes that would bog down the smaller machine, while a heavier bed casting and larger bearings translate into improved rigidity and thermal stability.
