2019 Hurco TM6i CNC Slant-Bed Turning Center

The 2019 Hurco TM6i is a compact, two-axis slant-bed CNC turning center engineered for prototype, fixture, and small-batch production work in aluminum, brass, and engineering plastics. Configured with a 6-inch hydraulic chuck on an A2-5 spindle nose, 1.77-inch bar capacity, a 6,000-RPM main spindle driven by a 17.5 HP motor delivering 74.3 ft-lb of torque at 1,090 RPM in high gear, 12.44 inches of max turning diameter over a 13.39-inch turning length envelope (15.85 inches distance between centers), 15.94 inches of swing over the bed, and 1,181 IPM rapid traverse on both X and Z, this lathe is set up for tight-tolerance turning straight off the truck. The 12-station turret indexes adjacent in 1.3 seconds and furthest in 2.6 seconds, paired with a hydraulic tailstock and the Hurco WinMax control with conversational programming, DXF file import, and 3D verification graphics for fast offline-to-floor cycle setup.

Compared to the older Hurco TM-class lathes that the TM6i replaced, this build delivers the modern WinMax CNC platform with DXF import and on-control 3D verification graphics that the older Ultimax-era controls couldn't match — meaningful upgrades for shops that program at the spindle and want to skip the offline CAM cycle for prototype and short-run work. The compact slant-bed footprint and one-piece construction also keep the rigidity and surface finish on par with larger turning centers, while keeping the floor-space and capital cost well under what a comparably configured new TM6i would land at today.
