2019 Lico LND-42D CNC Turn/Mill Center

The 2019 Lico LND-42D is a high-performance CNC turn/mill center engineered for complex, done-in-one machining of parts up to 42mm (1.65") in diameter. Powered by a Mitsubishi M830 control, this machine features dual opposed spindles — a 20 HP main and a 9.4 HP sub-spindle — both equipped with C-axis capability for precision indexing and contouring. The 8-station VDI 30 turret delivers 5 HP live tooling at up to 3,000 RPM with full Y-axis capability (±55mm stroke), enabling cross-drilling, off-center milling, and complex profiling without secondary operations. With rapid traverse rates of 590 IPM, a maximum turning length of 450mm (17.7"), and integrated high-pressure coolant via dual 1,000 PSI pumps, this machine is built to sustain aggressive cycle times on demanding production runs. The included Tracer 51V barfeeder extends unattended operation across a wide range of bar stock up to 2.2 inches in diameter. The LND-42D represents a meaningful step forward from Lico's earlier LND-42 platform. Where the base LND-42 shipped with a Fanuc 18i-TB control, the D-series upgrades to the Mitsubishi M830 — a faster, more capable CNC with expanded program storage and smoother multi-axis interpolation. The D-series also refines the machine’s thermal stability and servo response for tighter tolerances in sustained production. Compared to the earlier model’s standard single-spindle configuration, this LND-42D-S3 variant adds a fully programmable sub-spindle with independent C-axis, enabling simultaneous front and back work and eliminating manual part transfer. These upgrades make the LND-42D a more productive, more capable platform for shops running complex turned parts in medium to high volumes.
