2019 Lico LND-51D CNC Turn/Mill Center

The 2019 Lico LND-51D is a 10-axis CNC turn/mill center built for high-output, multi-process production in a single setup. Equipped with a Mitsubishi M830 control, this machine features a 20 HP / 5,000 RPM main spindle with C-axis, a 7.4 HP / 5,000 RPM sub-spindle with C-axis, and 5 HP / 3,000 RPM live tooling across an 8-position VDI 30 turret. Three overlapping 2-axis cross slides enable simultaneous cutting operations for dramatically reduced cycle times. The Y-axis provides ±55mm of stroke for off-center milling and drilling, while dual 1,000 PSI high-pressure coolant pumps ensure aggressive chip evacuation during demanding cuts. With 2.00-inch bar capacity and 17.7 inches of max turning length, this machine handles a wide range of shaft and bar work with ease. A Tracer 51V 12-foot bar feeder and Royal FX 300 Filtermist mist collector round out a production-ready package. Compared to the earlier Lico LND-42D, the LND-51D delivers a significant step up in capacity and versatility. Bar capacity increases from 1.65 inches to 2.00 inches, and max turning diameter grows correspondingly, opening the door to larger-diameter work that the 42D cannot accommodate. The LND-51D retains the same 3-cross-slide architecture and Mitsubishi M830 control platform, maintaining programming continuity for shops running both models. The larger spindle bore and increased Z-axis travel on the turret provide greater flexibility for complex turned parts, making the LND-51D the preferred choice for shops pushing beyond the 42D's size envelope while keeping the same proven multi-slide simultaneous machining capability.
