The 2013 Mori-Seiki NLX2500MC/700 is a slant-bed CNC turning center built for milling-capable lathe work, combining a 10-inch Kitagawa BB210A8 hydraulic chuck, 700 mm distance between centers, and a programmable hydraulic tailstock with live center to handle longer, more demanding turned components. The 12-station BMT (Base Mount Tooling) turret delivers driven tools with full C-axis spindle indexing, opening the door to milling, drilling, and cross-hole work in a single setup, while high-pressure through-turret coolant, an auto-lubrication system, and a swing-arm automatic tool presetter keep cycles efficient and operator handling consistent. Compared to Mori-Seiki's earlier NL2500/700, the NLX2500MC/700 adds milling and C-axis capability directly through the BMT turret, which the base NL2500/700 typically lacked without an upgrade package — making this configuration a true multi-tasking lathe rather than a straight turning center.
