The 2010 Mazak Hyper-Quadrex 150MSY is a flagship multi-tasking CNC turning center built on Mazak's premium HQR (Hyper-Quadrex) architecture - twin opposed main spindles, twin turrets, Y-axis on both turrets, and live tooling on both turrets - which is as much machine as a compact-class lathe envelope can deliver. The MSY suffix tells the build sheet: M for multi-tasking (live tooling), S for second main spindle, Y for Y-axis on both turrets, meaning the machine can mill off-center features and pick up parts on the sub-spindle for a fully done-in-one cycle without operator intervention.
