2023 Mazak Integrex i-500SN/1500U CNC Multi-Tasking Center

The 2023 Mazak Integrex i-500SN/1500U is a current-generation multi-tasking center built to consolidate turning, milling, and complex contouring operations onto a single platform. This unit is configured with the upgraded 132mm (5.2-inch) main and second spindle bores, both driven by 40 HP / 30 kW motors at 2,500 RPM, and the second spindle adds C1-C2 synchronous contouring for true done-in-one production of complex shafts and contoured parts. Travels include 33.27 inches in X, 16.93 inches in Y, 64.57 inches in Z, and a 60-inch (1500mm) bed length, with a full 27.56-inch swing capacity over the bed. The B-axis tilting milling spindle delivers 12,000 RPM and 32 HP through a Capto C6 110-tool magazine, and the 5-Axis Machining Package for SmoothAi unlocks simultaneous 5-axis cutting on both spindles.

Compared to the previous-generation Mazak Integrex i-500S, this i-500SN benefits from the newest SmoothAi CNC platform with its 19-inch touch panel, AI Thermal Shield, Smooth Set and Inspect, MTConnect adapter, and EIA Dynamic Compensation 2 - features the original SmoothX control could not provide out of the box. The factory-installed 110-tool Capto magazine, Balluff tool ID, robot interface with Advance Ethernet/IP, automatic front door, and through-spindle coolant package make this a far more automation-ready cell than a baseline i-500S, and the second-spindle synchronous C-axis contouring takes complete-machining capability beyond what the prior version offered.
