The Mazak Integrex 300SY is a multitasking CNC turn-mill center with a reputation for done-in-one machining that made the Integrex line a fixture in job shops and production plants worldwide. This 2000 machine pairs a 4,000 RPM main spindle with an A2-8 nose, 3.46 in bore, and 3 in bar capacity against a matching A2-8, 4,000 RPM sub-spindle with 2.99 in bore and 2.5 in bar capacity, while a 10,000 RPM, 20 HP milling spindle rides a B-axis pendulum-style turret head with 225 deg of tilt for angled milling and drilling. Travels run 22.83 in X, +/- 4.13 in Y, and 43.11 in Z, with full C-axis rotation in 0.001 deg increments, a 24 in maximum machining diameter, 13.8 in of swing over the cross slide, and 40 in between centers. The Mazatrol Fusion 640MT control feeds a 40-station automatic tool changer, rapids run 1,181 / 590 / 1,181 IPM in X / Y / Z, and the 40 HP main spindle motor carries heavy turning cuts. The machine includes 10 in 3-jaw hydraulic chucks on both spindles, an automatic tool eye, a chip conveyor, and an available HSK-63 tooling package.
Compared with the earlier Mazak Integrex 30Y generation, the Integrex 300SY stepped up to the PC-based Mazatrol Fusion 640MT control, bringing faster program processing, conversational multitasking programming, and smoother coordinated B- and C-axis motion than the prior Mazatrol controls offered. The SY configuration also pairs the sub-spindle with full Y-axis and B-axis milling, so parts transfer for back-side finishing inside the machine instead of moving to a second operation - the workflow that defined the modern Integrex platform. For a shop consolidating turning and milling into one footprint, the 300SY delivers the done-in-one capability Mazak built its multitasking reputation on.
