2006 Mazak QTN 350-II CNC Turning Center

The Mazak Quick Turn Nexus 350-II is a heavy-duty CNC turning center built for large-diameter and long-shaft production, carrying the rigidity and reliability that made Mazak's Quick Turn line a shop-floor standard. This 2006 machine offers a 26.77 inch maximum swing, a 16.5 inch maximum turning diameter, and 80 inches between centers, paired with a 4.4 inch spindle bore, a 3.5 inch bar capacity, a main spindle rated to 3,300 RPM, and a 40/30 HP spindle drive. A 12-station drum turret carries heavy turning and boring tooling, while an MT No. 5 tailstock supports long shafts between centers for accurate, repeatable production turning of oversized parts.

Compared to the earlier Mazak Quick Turn (QT) 350 it succeeded, the Quick Turn Nexus 350-II introduced a more rigid one-piece bed and turret design, faster Mazatrol control processing, and higher rapid traverse rates, improving cycle times and surface finish on large-diameter work. The generous 4.4 inch spindle bore and 80 inch center distance also let it handle longer, heavier bar and shaft work than smaller Quick Turn models, making the Nexus 350-II a meaningfully more capable big-capacity lathe than its predecessors for shafting, flanges, and large chucked components.
