2018 Haas CL-1 CNC Chucker Lathe

The 2018 Haas CL-1 is an ultra-compact CNC chucker lathe purpose-built for high-volume small-part production, pairing a 6,000 RPM 5 HP spindle with a 5C collet nose and automatic air closer for fast, repeatable part changes. It handles up to 1 inch bar stock and a 5 inch maximum cutting diameter, with 12 inch X and 8 inch Z travels and an 8-station automatic turret set up for gang-style tooling on 1/2 inch centers. Its small footprint lets shops drop a full CNC turning cell into a fraction of the floor space a conventional lathe requires.

Compared to a full-size Haas ST-10 turning center, the CL-1 trades large-diameter chuck capacity for a dramatically smaller footprint and a collet-based spindle optimized for tiny precision parts. Where the ST-10 carries a 12-station turret and an 8.3 inch chuck for bigger work, the CL-1 focuses that same Haas control and reliability into a dedicated small-part platform, making it the more efficient choice for bushings, fittings, and other compact components produced in volume.
