2021 Okuma Multus U3000-2SW/1500 CNC Turn-Mill Center

The Okuma Multus U3000-2SW/1500 is a multitasking 5-axis turn-mill center known for the rigidity, thermal stability, and done-in-one capability that have made the Multus line a backbone of complex, high-mix machining. This 2021 unit pairs a 30 HP, 4,200 RPM main spindle (A2-8) with a 30 HP, 5,000 RPM sub-spindle (A2-6) and a contouring B-axis milling spindle rated to 12,000 RPM with a Capto C6 interface and an 80-tool ATC, backed by a 12-station lower turret. It offers 25.59 in swing over bed and max turning diameter, 59.06 in (1,500 mm) turning length, 25.39 in X travel, 62.99 in Z travel, a Y-axis (9.84 in), and 3.1 in big-bore bar capacity. The machine runs Okuma's THINC OSP-P300SA-L control and is equipped with C-axis on both spindles, a Renishaw RMP600 probe, an automatic tool presetter, MP Systems high-pressure coolant, a mist collector, and a chip conveyor.

Compared with the earlier Okuma Multus B300 series, the U3000 generation brings a larger work envelope, a more powerful and rigid B-axis milling spindle, expanded tool capacity, and the faster, more capable THINC OSP-P300 control with advanced features such as Collision Avoidance and Tool Center Point Control II.
