2016 Nomura NN-32YB2 CNC Swiss-Type Lathe

The Nomura NN-32YB2 is a 32mm sliding-headstock Swiss-type CNC lathe built for high-volume, complex small-diameter turned parts. This 2016 example runs an 8,000 RPM main and sub spindle with full C-axis on both, a Y-axis, and a B-axis tool unit that swings within a 135-degree arc for true multi-axis machining, all under Mitsubishi M70 control. With up to 33 tool stations - including live rotary tooling at 6,000 RPM on both main and sub - plus an LNS Express 332 S2 bar loader, high-pressure coolant, parts catcher and conveyor, and a Tri-Mist mist collector, it is a complete done-in-one Swiss cell for medical, fittings, and precision component work.

Compared with the smaller NN-20YB in the same Nomura line, the NN-32YB2 steps up to a 32mm bar capacity from 20mm for larger fittings and shafts, while keeping the sliding-headstock accuracy and sub-spindle done-in-one capability the series is known for. The added B-axis on the main spindle further extends it beyond a standard Swiss lathe, enabling angled drilling, contour milling, and complex features in a single setup.
