2012 Mazak QTN 450-II CNC Turning Center

The 2012 Mazak Quick Turn Nexus 450-II is a heavy-duty CNC turning center built for large-diameter, high-torque work. Its 50 hp, 2,000 rpm two-step geared spindle delivers up to 1,760 ft-lb of torque through a 4.5 in bore and an 18 in three-jaw hydraulic chuck, while box-way construction keeps the machine rigid under heavy cuts. A 12-station turret, a tailstock with 40 in between centers, automatic tool length measurement, a chip conveyor, and the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus control round out a production-ready platform for shafts, flanges, and other large turned parts.

Compared to the original Quick Turn Nexus 450, the 450-II steps up to the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus CNC with faster processing and smoother surface control, and refines the spindle drive and way system for improved rigidity and thermal stability. For a shop turning large, heavy parts, that generational step means tighter accuracy and easier programming on the same big-bore, box-way foundation.
