2012 Okuma LU300 CNC Twin-Turret Lathe

The Okuma LU300 is a twin-turret CNC turning center with a reputation for rigid, dependable production turning that has made Okuma's LU series a staple in high-volume machine shops. This 2012 unit pairs two turrets - a 12-station upper and an 8-station lower - so two tools can engage the workpiece at once, cutting cycle times on chucked and shaft work. It swings 20.9 in over the bed and 14.96 in over the saddle, turns up to 14.6 in in diameter and 39.4 in in length, and runs a 30 HP spindle to 5,000 RPM through a 10 in Kitagawa hydraulic chuck with a 2.44 in bore. Chip conveyor, flood coolant, and an automatic door are included, and the machine is governed by Okuma's own OSP control. A FANUC R-2000iA/165F robot loader (2016) that previously tended the machine is available with it for lights-out or high-volume automation.
