The Tsugami B038T is a Swiss-type CNC turning center with a turret, known for the precision, rigidity, and unattended productivity that have made Tsugami a benchmark in high-volume precision turning for medical, aerospace, and fluid-power components. This 2017 machine turns bar stock from 0.315 up to 1.496 inches in diameter and up to 9.84 inches long, with a main spindle running 200-5,000 RPM and a back (sub) spindle to 7,000 RPM for complete front-and-back machining in a single cycle. Powered by a 7.5 HP main and 3.7 HP sub-spindle, it carries live tooling with rotary speeds to 8,000 RPM for cross drilling, face milling, and turret milling, all coordinated by a Fanuc 31i-B control. It arrives fully tooled with an Edge FMB Turbo 338 twin-channel barfeeder, an Edge Rebel 80 parts unloader, a 2,000 PSI high-pressure coolant system, a Mist Buster HEPA mist collector, a microfine chip conveyor, and a Fire Trace suppression system.
Compared to the earlier Tsugami B0205 and B0326 Swiss models, the B038T steps up to a larger 38 mm (1.5-inch) bar capacity and adds an integrated turret alongside the gang tooling, letting a shop run heavier, more complex parts and more simultaneous tools than the smaller-capacity, turret-less predecessors. The modern Fanuc 31i-B control and expanded live-tooling package bring faster setups and more single-cycle operations than earlier B0-series machines, while the higher sub-spindle speed shortens back-working cycle times. For a buyer, that means a more capable, higher-capacity Swiss platform - turret plus gang tooling, bigger bar, and full automation - acquired at a used-machine investment rather than the cost of new.
