The DN Solutions Puma DNT2600LM is a horizontal live-tool turning center built on the heavy-duty architecture that has kept the Puma name in production shops for decades. This 2024 machine pairs a 10 inch Samchully MH-210Vi 3-jaw hydraulic chuck on an A2-8 spindle nose with a 3.23 inch spindle bore and 3 inch bar capacity, so chucked and bar work run on the same floor. The main spindle turns to 3,500 RPM on a 26 kW (34.9 HP) motor developing 542.4 ft-lb, and box guideways on every axis absorb the load so heavy roughing and interrupted cuts do not chatter. The long-bed L configuration delivers 14.96 inch max turning diameter and 40.5 inch max turning length, with 10.2 inch X travel, 43.3 inch Z travel, and rapids of 944.9 IPM in X and 1,181.1 IPM in Z. A 12-station BMT-55 live turret drives tools to 6,000 RPM with full C-axis positioning, so cross-drilling, milling, and keyway work finish in the same setup as the turning, and a tailstock supports long, slender parts. Control is the Fanuc i Series Plus with a 15 inch color touchscreen and EZ Work conversational programming, backed by an LNS Turbo HB chip conveyor, flood coolant, automatic lubrication, work light, and 220V/3PH power.
The DNT series replaced the long-running Doosan Puma 2600 in DN Solutions' 10 inch turning lineup, and the DNT2600LM is a ground-up redesign rather than a refresh. DN Solutions rebuilt the base around a redesigned box guideway structure that adds dynamic rigidity for exactly the heavy, interrupted cutting the older Puma 2600 took at a slower pace, then paired it with a 26 kW spindle at 542.4 ft-lb. Rapids of 944.9 IPM in X and 1,181.1 IPM in Z pull dead time out of every cycle, and the BMT-55 turret interface gives a stiffer, more repeatable tool mount than the older Puma turret arrangements while driving live tools to 6,000 RPM. The control is the other clear step forward: the Fanuc i Series Plus with a 15 inch color touchscreen and EZ Work conversational programming replaces the smaller panels of the earlier Puma generation, so setups get programmed at the machine instead of queued behind a CAM seat. DN Solutions also reworked the enclosure so chips clear to the conveyor instead of packing into the work zone. Add 40.5 inches of turning length and the DNT2600LM is not simply a newer Puma 2600 - it is more rigid, faster, and better controlled in the same class of floor space.
