The Mazak Integrex i-100 Bartac-S is a multi-tasking turn-mill center with a reputation for done-in-one, bar-fed part completion that has made the Integrex line a mainstay in high-mix precision and medical machining. Running Mazak's MAZATROL SmoothX control, it pairs a main turning spindle (A2-8 nose, 4.4 inch bore) with an opposed 6,000 RPM sub-spindle and a full tilting B-axis milling spindle that turns to 12,000 RPM through a KM-63 taper, so parts are turned, milled, and drilled in a single clamping. Tooling is served from a 72-station automatic tool changer, and the machine carries X, Y, and Z travels of 17.72, 8.27, and 35.59 inches with C-axis contouring, a 20.87 inch swing over bed, 19.67 inch maximum turning diameter, and 33.62 inch turning length. It comes equipped for production with an LNS QuickLoad S3 bar feed, 213 PSI high-pressure coolant, a Renishaw probe, a parts catcher, and a chip conveyor.
Compared to the earlier Mazak Integrex 100-IV, which ran the older Matrix control and a smaller tool magazine, the i-100 is a meaningfully more capable machine rather than simply a newer one. The MAZATROL SmoothX CNC brings faster processing, an intuitive touchscreen interface, and smoother simultaneous multi-axis control than the previous-generation Matrix, while the 72-tool magazine and 12,000 RPM B-axis milling spindle widen the range of prismatic and multi-face work the machine can finish unattended. Paired with the integrated LNS bar feed and Renishaw in-process probing, the upgrade translates to longer lights-out runs, tighter closed-loop accuracy, and the ability to quote complex bar-fed jobs that an older turn-mill would have to stage across multiple machines.
