2015 Takamaz XW-130 CNC Twin-Spindle Turning Center w/ Gantry Loader

The Takamaz XW-130 is a compact twin-spindle, twin-turret CNC turning center built for high-volume, automated small-part production. This 2015 example runs two independent spindles, each turning to 4,000 RPM on an A2-6 spindle nose with an 8 inch Kitagawa B208 3-jaw hydraulic chuck and an 8-station turret, under a Fanuc 0i-TD control, and it is paired with a GTH150 gantry loading system and 16-station in/out rotary stocker for fully automatic part handling. It comes equipped for production with high-pressure through-spindle coolant, a Chip Blaster 1000 PSI pump, a 160-liter coolant system, spindle cooling, a belt-type chip conveyor, safety fencing with door interlock, and a signal tower.

Compared with a conventional single-spindle chucker, the twin-spindle XW-130 effectively doubles output in the same footprint by machining two parts at once, and its integrated gantry loader and rotary stocker remove the operator from the load/unload cycle entirely. For a shop running high volumes of small turned components, that means dramatically lower cost per part, consistent lights-out running, and the ability to hold tight cycle times that a single-spindle, hand-loaded lathe cannot match.
