2017 Haas ST-15 CNC Lathe

The Haas ST-15 is an 8-inch-chuck CNC turning center with the straightforward, widely-supported reliability that has made Haas a staple in job shops and production floors across North America. This 2017 machine offers a 12.0 in max cutting diameter, a 16.5 in swing over bed, a 2.5 in bar capacity, and a 3.5 in spindle bore through an A2-6 spindle nose, driven by a 20 HP motor to 4,000 RPM. Tooling is handled by a fast 12-station BOT turret, and this unit is equipped with a tool presetter, a parts catcher, and programmable chuck air pressure for quick, repeatable setups. Running the familiar, easy-to-support Haas control, it drops into an existing Haas shop with no retraining and keeps chucked and short-bar work moving.

Compared with the earlier Haas SL-20 it effectively succeeded, the ST-15 is a meaningfully better machine than the model it replaced: Haas moved to a more rigid, thermally stable base casting, a larger spindle bore and bar capacity, higher spindle torque, and the current-generation Haas control with faster processing and more program memory.
