The Ganesh Cyclone 52MSY is a 6-axis CNC turn-mill center with a reputation for done-in-one part completion that has made it a staple in precision, high-mix production and job-shop environments. Built by Ganesh Machinery (now Expand Machinery) in its GenTurn Cyclone 52 line, this twin-spindle, single-turret turning center pairs a main spindle (5,000 RPM, 12 HP, A2-6 nose, 2.32" bore) with a 5,000 RPM, 10 HP sub-spindle for simultaneous front- and back-working. A 12-station turret with live tooling driven to 6,000 RPM, combined with full Y-axis travel, lets the machine mill, drill, and contour off-center to finish complete parts in a single setup. It handles up to 8" (203 mm) chuck work and 2.04" (52 mm) bar stock, moves X 6.693" / Y 2.362" / Z 12.598" with rapids of 787 IPM (20 m/min), and runs under a Fanuc CNC control operators already know.
Compared with a base single-spindle Ganesh Cyclone 52 turning center, the 52MSY is a step-change in capability. Where the base machine turns on a single main spindle with fixed tooling, the 52MSY adds a fully synchronized sub-spindle for automatic part transfer and back-working, a 12-station live-tooling turret, and full Y-axis motion - converting a straight turning lathe into a true multi-axis turn-mill cell. That means the 52MSY completes milled, drilled, and cross-bored features on both ends of a part without a second machine or a second setup, cutting handling, work-in-process, and cycle counts on exactly the tight-tolerance jobs that carry the best margins.
